Is there a ranking system in JKD

Not to sound dumb or anything I'm starting JKD next week and I was wondering if there is a ranking system in JKD?

Schools and people give ranks.

Where I train there is no rank except skill.

Yenhoi's right; the only ranks are that of teacher and pupil. If you start at a school that says otherwise, beware it may be a Mcdojo!
