Oh c'mon, Dawood, are you telling me it's not even raining back home... Man that sucks, there's no point even being homesick!

It's a clear cool, sunny day in Central Texas. Which is fine, because we got a lot of rain a few weeks ago.

In other news, this morning I watched a rat crawl from the tree branch outside my window to the top of the roof over my apartment. Normally, I'd say it's probably a possum, not a rat. But this one didn't use its tail in a prehensile manner, so it was definitely a rat.

Ew. Not that possums are any great shakes, either.

Made a squirrel shake once... flicked its nuts.

Especially after the rain. I have an uncanny sense of smell.

They say that there's always a rat within X' of where you are. I usually see them too. I go, 'Did you see that, a rat,' and people just shake their heads...

Seriously.

It rained a bit last night... Would you believe me if I told that yesterday's temperature here in Croatia reached 26°C (and it's middle of November!)

"Made a squirrel shake once... flicked its nuts."

Leave your personal life out of this!:p

When I make a squirrel shake, I use plenty of squirrel ice cream and whole milk. Sometimes I add wheat germ and/or yogurt to make believe it's healthy.

Actually it is raining here today. There hasn't been any rain for a long period of time until now.

Here's a guy who WISHES it was raining. (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap021118.html)

Can you imagine trying to explain that to your claims agent?

I've never made a squirrel shake, but I blew a seal once. On my car, right on the highway.

It's not raining here, but it is a nasty-freaking-cold day, and we have this constant wet-haze going on. Not to mention, I live in quite possibly one of the most boring regions in the world.

As a matter of fact, it's so boring here that I've actually shot, skinned, and eaten a squirrel just for the heck of it. It was cool at one time in my youth to have a trophy rack of squirrel tales.

It's deer season here, time to shoot another Bambi.

Mighty B snogs squirrels!

historical note: in England of old, squirrels were hunted, mark ye this, by gangs of grown men armed with snogs, large metal lumps on the end of short sticks... possibly the most ludicrous hunting implement ever devised, certainly for such prey... which would, incidentally, be surrounded by said grown men, whereupon they wouldst proceed to hurl down their arms upon the wee beastie's heads... history does not relate how the they peeled the creatures from said implements, and how much was left... or even if they ever caught one at all!

Jeez, that was the longest and least fulfilling gag ever made. I'm going. The bit about the snogs is true though!

Sydney's not too bad, as it goes. we have pretty good reserves. But from the Blue Mountains west it's terrible. Some outback towns have actually run out of water. They're having drinking water trucked in! Worst drought in 100 years!
