OMG BIU GEE IS A TECHNIQUE IN THE SIL LUM TAO OMG OMG OMG.

Im sure there are as many 3rd forms as there are sects of WCK.

Whats it for? To refine your kung-fu. Dim mak is everywhere. You dont need a form to tell you where dim mak points are or how to hit them. Whats internal ging. (compared to external ging?)

If you happen to know that Biu Gee tells you all this stuff about absorption and flying chi and cheeseburgers and stuff, dont you already know all the answers to all your questions?

I dont have the 3rd form yet, but I doubt it really 'tells' you anything beyond the SLT.

Biu Jee is mainly about recovery - many say - in an emergency. In other words when you get out of position you need a way to recover back to your center. Biu Jee has some very clever ways of training just that and is IMO the toughest of all the VT forms to do well.

As far as pressure points, Dim Mak, secret techniques, internal jing, external, etc., I would love to hear more theory on that from a truly advanced practitioner.

Dave Petersen in his book "Look Beyond the Pointing Finger" says the name of Biu Jee means exactly that.

Apparently Wong Shun Leung used to say that originally the name of the form had three words, one of which had been lost over time. The originally name was more like "Moon Pointing Finger", the Moon part being lost, so the Pointing Finger part became the focus, which then led to the other translations of Thrusting or Darting Fingers.

Wong felt that the point of BJ was to look beyond the strictures of Wing Chun, not to be bound by them if the situation arose which demanded something else. Hence, looking "beyond the pointing finger at the moon".

Thus, his interpretation of this was the idea of the "emergency" or "recovery" techniques, those which you would not require if you have perfect WC, but you may need if you found yourself in a bad situation.
