View Full Version : Is doing a V-stech everyday a good idea?

I was wondering if its a good idea to do a v-stretch everyday since i just got a stretch machine and i want a full split and high side kicks sooner than later. I dont want to stretch the heck out of my hamstrings and end up tearing all this tissue by doing it everyday but i dont want to wait about a year to get something that many people have gotten easy. what is best for me? what do you guy and girls do to obtain this state of flexability?

overstretching is usually the result of going for immediate results, not for being consistent. stretching a muscle every day, as long as you do it right, isn't a bad thing.

correct stretching ...

if you're not warmed up and loose, a light stretch is the most you should do, just to get the range of motion loose.

once you're warm, say, after a workout, stretch slowly and deeply, but never to the point of real pain.

do this consistently, and you'll have good results.
