I'm going to be moving to Dallas soon and I was wondering if anybody knew of good schools there. Below I've put a small list of what type of schools I'm looking for (please specify which).
Thanx

You forgot Shuai Chiao. Victor Ke is in Dallas. I'm sure you could locate some type of training group.

1.) Not sure of a school that does Muay Thai...There *is* a gym in North Arlington, off 360 and Galleria Drive next to 6 Flags Mall called, well, The Gym. They offer Muay Thai I believe, been there a few times and saw some guys practicing it.

2.) http://www.dallaswingtsun.com, offers Wing Tsun and Escrima.

3.) I dunno any, but the gym I mentioned in #1 does BJJ too. There are a few Machado schools around and one over on Bowen Road and Division that does BJJ.

4.) Only one I know of JKD is in Fort Worth. The address is 710 Carroll Street, phone number 817-870-1127. I spoke to the instructor over the phone once, seemed like a nice guy, however never trained with him.

5.) http://www.dallaswingtsun.com, has 3 schools, one in Dallas, one in Plano and one in Fort Worth at the American Airlines Training Center off 360 and F.A.A. Road.

Also there is Steve Cotrell, very popular fellow in my area. When I've met other people and they ask what I teach I say Wing Tsun and they say "Cotrell?" and I no. Usually now I say right off the bat "Wing Tsun, but not under Cotrell." http://www.authentickungfu.com, he is in Fort Worth. Also does Mantis and Tai Chi.

There was *also* a school a classmate told me about in Irving, off 183 near Irving Mall. Never been there, haven't seen it or anything. Might not even exist anymore.

6.) The one I mentioned in Arlington off Bowen and Division I think does NHB, as does The Gym in North Arlington.

For NHB/Vale Tudo/Kickboxing there's Guy Metzger's Training Center off of Central near Meadow.

This is the school I myself go to... VERY good stuff: www.leeswhiteleopardkungfu.com

I also host an informal training group twice a week outside of class if you are interested. Mainly combat orient conditioning etc.
FYI its Mizong, Mi Chung, or My Jhong... whatever you wanna call it.

If you are closer to Ft Worth, Steve Cottrells school is pretty good also.

Shiso,
Regarding JKD schools I think Marco Hernandez has a school out there. To reach him go to PaulJBax forum, he is one of the moderators. Also Big SEan Madigan has a combative solutions group out there. I think the group leader is named Matt. To ask Sean, his forum is a "Combative Solutions.com". I hope this helps.
I also think in FT Worth, Lamar Davis has one of his instructors.
Good luck.

There's a Pekiti-Tirsia school in Dallas run by Tim Waid. He is one of the best and I believe highest ranking P/T folks in the U.S.

Shisio,

Since you posted this question in the "Street/Reality Fighting" Forum, this school may not exactly be what you are looking for, as it is a very traditional classical Kung Fu kwoon and the style is not on your list.

Despite that, I thought I would inform you of it anyway. The name of the kwoon is the "Hung Gar Tiger Crane Kung Fu Academy." The sifu is Phillip Ng, and as the name of the school mentions, the style is Hung Gar. Phillip Ng is an outstanding instructor, but for the first few months and maybe even the first couple of years, the instruction is going to center on conditioning and learning the basic movements and forms. The kwoon is located in Richardson, just off of the Central Express Freeway. Their website is: http://www.hungfist.com/ It is well worth at least a visit.
