There's a lot of cool stuff on this page from the Electronic Journal of Martial Arts and Sciences, but I particularly liked the series of reprinted US Army manuals from the 1920's labelled "The Secrets of Jujitsu, A Complete Course in Self Defense" Not only is it laid out and explained clearly, but the techs and theory seem realistic and well thought out, and the clothes and hairstyles are a gas.

I didn't know the dantien was called the stahara in japanese, so I learned something else there, too.

Enjoy.

Neither did I...
As far as my memory serves (it does) it is called "hara",or if wanting to be specific,it can be called "tanden",to clarify when it comes to elixir field.
Generally speaking though,in japanese you say "fukubu" when talking about stomach region.

Site could not be found.
:(

BTW,cool avatar.

"Dan Tien" is called "Tan den" in japanese, simply the Japanese pronounciation/reading of the same Characters.

Just my 0.2 cents worth.

Hitler vs. Teddy Roosevelt is nowhere near as cool as Hitler vs. Stalin.

I'm not being active about it, but yeah. I really wish I could have a pup (finances and living arrangements dictate otherwise), and so I'm scrounging different rescue sites on the web, hoping that someone on one of the BBSes I frequent will have a sudden attack of Igottahavethatpup.

Somebody on another forum asked why Duke has a hat and such puny forelegs.
