Sisuk Joe-

Thanks for the great article on Lee Koon Hung in the latest addition of Kung fu Qi Gong. I already new some of the info but a lot of the content of the article was new to me. I'm also glad that you publicly cleared up the issue of Lee Koon Hung's lineage. The "official" lineage reads one way but the actual lineage is a little more complicated. I'm sure that all of Lee Koon Hung's students and grandstudents will enjoy this article.

Thanks again

It was well appreciated by those of us who never had the pleasure of meeting him in person.

Joe's Lee Koon Hung article was in the Jan Feb 2003 (http://store.yahoo.com/martialartsmart/2001issues1.html) issue, on stands now. But if you want to see more from Joe, on DVD no less, he did a solo demo in our afternoon show (http://store.yahoo.com/martialartsmart/dvdca107.html) at our gala and demo'ed with Li Siu Hung in ourevening demo (http://store.yahoo.com/martialartsmart/dvdca108.html) . We have them in video versions (http://store.yahoo.com/martialartsmart/newvideos1111.html) too, for the neanderthals like me who still haven't invested in a DVD player yet...

Actually, I have to give props to Joe. The afternoon demo was a real wild card. Sure, we had slated everyone in this prearranged order, but when showtime came, only our first master, He Jingde, was really ready. BTW, He Jingde is hot - check out our Jan Feb 2003 issue (http://store.yahoo.com/martialartsmart/2001issues1.html) for an article on him by yours truly (what?! another plug!?) Anyway, our next performer got nabbed by CCTV and all the following wushu performers were all "Not yet! Too early! I need to warm up." Joe was further into the lineup, but he was ready. He had a "put me in cold" attitude, which I really respect, and busted out a fine form. he even volunteered to do more, if we needed more filler (but we didn't.) Thanks again, Joe!

Alright Joe!!!....if Joe's Sifu is anything like my Sifu then he's used to doing "cold" performances. Sometimes my Sifu won't even tell me which form I'm doing that day until he tells me to go up and perform it!!!! Keeps us on our toes that one.

Fu-Pow:

That is typical for LKH peeps. Every year we used to perform for chinese new year when Sifu Lee Koon Hung was alive, you had to be ready because it was always... ok "you go do sup sam cheung, you ping kuen, etc...." Made you practice harder to be ready because you never wanted to let him down and make the school look bad. Performing under this kind of pressure in front of a lot of onlookers made performing at tournaments easy.

Peace.

P.S. Oh yeah by the way I spoke with your sifu the other nite. Oh all of LKH's oldest students I have always liked him alot becuase he is real down to earth. I like Tat Mau Wong alot as well but he is more business oriented (not that that is a bad thing considering his success).

Peace.
