The only thing that seems to quiet my 3 month old niece Emma down is the Bagua. She seem to sort of go into a trance. Maybe she's just dizzy... Still, it shuts her up which is the most important thing.

a good smack in the mouth does the same thing.

Stuff a sock in her mouth and tape it in. Then, roll her out the window. That is the secret advanced form in Baqua. The "Shut the brat up" technique.

I find that duct tape and an upstairs closet work very well.

That's a good opportunity to practice your iron skillet technique. Trust me, it works wonders.

My daughter would only shut up if I held her upside down and paced back and forth through the house with her. As soon as I'd put her right side up, she would start screaming again. This often went on for several hours when she was a baby (Usually in the middle of the night).

Now @ age 12 she is a sucsessful competitive gymnnast.....go figure....;)

It is of little use to be hard on a baby since they simply "do not get it" at that point and all they can respond with is more crying.
Even though it might very well be a critical time of growth.
They might do well following chan-buddhism to the direction of-
"when hungry-eat
when tired-sleep"
with plenty of crying out in the middle.

I have used the method of showing loudmouth brats into garbage containers in my last school years. that stops the disrespectful attitude.

3 month old cry-baby.

Grin and bare it, it will be over eventually ... or not.

Latest research shows that colic babies stop soon after that age.

If you can survive MA training than the little one shouldn't face you at all. ;)

Mine slept 6 ~ 8hrs at 2 months and hardly ever cried.
:p :p

Just my 0,2 cents worth.

in his defence we did respond to a light hearted post about his child with advice on how to properly beat it.

however, if he wasn't calling us degenerates playfully, i would say he definately lacks humor, or at least a proper twisted sense of humor.

Babysitting is uncomfortable.

I prefer beanbag chairs.

LOL :D 'No humor' is correct.. Ppl who doesn't understand sarcasm, irony or even basic humor are the ones who are truly dumb. Hope your baby drowns. Merry X-mas
