While browsing on this forum, I saw some people saying that weight training makes you lose speed, is it true cuz at my kwoon we are evaluated on the speed.

I would like to start weight training often because I really love it.but I cant see what are the benefits of it for martial arts, please give me the good and bad points of it.

This topic has been covered quite a bit. Just run a few searches for specifics.

As for the big picture, it is pretty much a myth. However, it's all in how you train. If you stick to the more ballistic type lifts with heavy weights/low reps you will be just fine.

Olympic style weightlifting! They are considered by many to be the fastest athletes in the world.

I would reckon that barbell snatches, clean & jerk, clean & press, DL's etc. should do the trick...

Any compound lift done heavy and/or explosively will do the trick. Don't attempt any olympic lifts if you are just starting to workout. You will kill yourself.

So back to the question: what are the advantages and disadvantages of weight training (for strenght not endurence)

Advantages: Weight training will make you stronger than bodyweight exercises ever will ("strong" meaning the ability to move a maximal load of weight one time).

Disadvantages: Not many if you are smart about your training.

^gotta agree with above

Does anyone know about the exercises in which you dont lift any 'weight', it involves tensing your muscles (for long periods of time and in reps).....I just heard something about it and was wondering

Yep. Snow angels. They appear as mere "jumping-jacks" against a resisting opponent, but are actually a secret technique of siberian strength champs. :)

The problem with them is that they don't build strength anywhere near as well as lifting weights. Also, you only gain strength at the angle of which the exercise was performed - you would have to repeat the exercise at various angles to get strength gain throught the range of motion, which is inefficient.

Dynamic tension sets are fun!

Do them as a break from whatever else.

They dont invlove equipment (some do.)
