kung fu is so broad.....but yes it definately can.
Northern kung fu styles were designed for taller people (as im sure you've heard)

You'll get a more in depth post from someone like gene and the other more 'seasoned' martial artists.

at the end of the day it just depends on how efficient the practitioner is whether he/she be 4ft or 7ft.:D

Any art can work for a tall/small/muscular/skinny person. You learn how to make it work for you.

With tall people , I think they are endanger if you get up close with styles like mantis or wing chun. Also northern shaolin styles have a lot of great takedowns and sweeps .

Any northern arm swinging style is good - monkey or tongbei or pigua or fanzi.
lama would also be good, as would choi li fut.

Nah, wing chun and mantis are VERY GOOD for tall people.

These arts work better for those with great arm length. Taller opponents with less experience than I can always get in on me in chi sao simply by using their reach against me.

That's not to say that either style is exclusively for long or short people, but I do believe that size usually is an advantage in any martial art.
