check this thread out: http://martial.best.vwh.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=18085&perpage=15&pagenumber=1

somewhere in there, Ford mentioned a book that I plan on checking out also. Can't remember the name, but I know he mentioned it somewhere in this thread.

Chinese Fast Wrestling For Fighting by Liang, Shou-Yu and Tai D. Ngo. It has dozens of throws and takedowns and a short section on groundfighting. I bought it at Barnes and Noble a couple of years ago and really like it.

Another good book on throwing that is not as well known from master Liang is Xiaoyaoshuai (http://store.yahoo.com/martialartsmart/b-ww003.html)

Effortless Combat Throws may be the best book that exists on throwing in the English language.

want to really understand throws and not just get 100 plus pics of 37 different kind of throws, see if you can find "Judo for the West", best book ever on the subject

the dynamics of throwing is also well presented in most wrestling books, rather than martial arts books, check out "winning wrestling moves"

And for more available Judo books, "Best Judo: is the way to go

I'm selling my book and video! They retail for $65, but I'm selling both for $35 shipping included.

I've already sold my Park Nom books to another forum person. Why not be the next happy customer to profit off of my desire to reduce possessions and raise some cash!

Yes, I have volumes 1 and 2. If you're not a SC guy, start off with vol 2. I think it'ss be easier to pick up the forms than the stances.

The teaching method is to show the form/stance and then show a few examples of how they are used.
