I seem to have injured some part in my elbow... it hurts whenever I extend my arm, as in a punch. The part that hurts most is right between the elbow bone(is this what its called?) and the funny bone. I'm not even sure what it is, is it a tendon or a ligament?

I would appreciate some advice on how to treat this, and how to prevent this. I keep hurting this part of my arm every now and then, which completely shuts down my MA training.

Thanks,

_William_

friends of mine have had that happen when they punch wrong. Also, in bjj, people have had it happen when someone's weight slams down on their bent arm. Time should heal it, but go to a doctor and get a diagnosis of what exactly it is. It sounds like either tennis or golfer's elbow. It could be either, depending on what side of your elbow the pain is on.

You have some sort of tendon or liagment injury which takes time to heal. Muscles heal faster than these tendons or liagments. My best suggestion is simply decrease your intensity, and your training until your elbow gets better. Use some common sense and be patient.

Use the R. I. C. E. treatment. Take Gluscoamine@Chondroition with MSN supplement complex daily which can be brought a health food store such as Vitamin Shoppe or GNC. I would suggest taking three times daily depending on the doses. Once in the morning, one after working out and one before bed. These compounds have show to improve joint health and repair.

If you must train in MA, Ice your elbow before your MA training and after your training. BUy a reusble ice pack which you can purchase at a local drug store. Buy a least two so you have one at home and you can place one inside your MA school. This will

You can also try this. Get yourself a motar and crush Two Advils and one Asprin into fine powder, then add some 100% aloe vera, castor oil, or emu oil (which is the best). Add enough oil to blend into the powder. Mix it up good so the powder blends equally. You will have yourself some pain killer and anti- inflamation cream which will cost less and save you from pain.

I would also suggest that you see yourself an anuthentic and good Tui Na chinese massage therapist who can help you remove the pain and increase general well being. Go to your local chinese community to seek out a good Tui Na specialist who want cost too much.

PS: I would suggest that you ask your doctor before you listen to me and or anyone else here. I am only offering you some of treatments that worked for me in the past.

I hope this helps.
