Greetings from Antananarivo

Is anyone familar with an old Chinese form called Dai Po Chin? or a martial art called Tam Tui (seeking leg)?

The above are said to be related to an Okinawan kata called Naifanchin.

Regards

Tam Tui or Tan Tui, means "springing leg" and is a northern system of the Hui (Islamic) community of North-West China. It was created by Zha Shangma (Chashangmir or Chamir which is Chinese for Jamil) as a primer for his Zhaquan system. It teaches the key skills required for a solid northern foundation, and as such was adopted by many shaolin schools, and was incorporated into the syllabus of the Chin Woo institute.

Hi all,

I would just like to add that there is more than one version of Tan Tui. Although i do not study it personally. I'm pretty sure that there are 24, 18, 12 and 10 line versions of this set. Most people use it as a precoursor to Bak Sil Lum in some way.

I have only seen the 10 and 12 line versions though.
