I was just scanning the Southern Forum, particularly the SPM stuff - I need an English / Nutcase - Nutcase / English dictionary to figure out WTF they are all talking about.

Heh, Heh...How do you think the Southerners kept their styles secrect from the Mandarin Ching?
I understand it fine...but then I have associated with Cantonese for one long, long time.
But maybe someone can tell me the meaning for the acronyms used on this forum...IMO or IMHO and OT...what the heck do these stand for?

I'm not fluent, but I have picked up a little Southern over the years. This should help you a little.

My teacher is the only true student=My teacher and your teacher used to train together back in China.

Your teacher $ucks=Hey! I know who your teacher is, he's pretty good!

so-and-so is really so-and-so= I have no idea who you are, but I don't like you so I'll say you're this other guy I don't like.

So-and-so is not legit= So-and-so is really legit, but we didn't go to the same school.

man, I love the southern forums.... I thought the choy li fut guys were uptight but the southern mantis guys rule! I remember awhile back they where throwing down challanges evey time they made a post. It was like watching professional wrestling on saturday mornings; so and so said " You suck" then so and so said " No you suck, lets cross hands" then so and so said "let's cross hands when I get back in town" or something. It was great.

he's just telling Chinggong that he's suspecting him to be D. Whitley...
heheheheeh

anyway all you really need to know in the southern forum is that si-fat in cantonese (or si-fut, I believe, in hakka) means *****...then you can pretty much understand it all LOLOLOL

On a sidenote, it also helps to know every lineage in CLF and SPM and know who had a feud with who...

Then you're ready for the beauty of it...quite an entertaining read at times I tell you heheheheh

the censored part was "means azz". Even if you wished to talk about the cousin of a mule you'd be censored...ahhh, it's tough I tell ya...

That's why Sevenstar was given moderator duties there and only there. No one else could tolerate anymore so they figured "why not give it to a stinkin new guy". And everyone thought 7* was so special.

Hey Monkey...thats not Cantonese!...just a bunch of guys who practice mantis style..who refer to practioners of that art as Mantids...they are saying these other mantids from this other lineage are misrepresenting themselves.

Now its your turn...to answer my question on the acronyms.
