Is the head gear in the following link adequate for amature SanShou, minus the face guard of course, it come off easy? :) (http://www.karate-mart.com/bx002.html)

I already have this head gear, but I'll buy something else if I have to. It is like normal boxing head gear, not foam dipped. The main question I have is the style of it since it has a cheek guard on it. Do I need something with no cheek guard? Thanks.

That is a pretty nice piece, I like the shape of it. It has cheek guards too so I guess its okay on mine.

I am planning on buying another "hat" I just don't know when. I have most of the gear needed but I want to make sure I get the best quality stuff I can find, so I am reorging a little.

Fight gear will work. I'm partial to boxing names like Everlast, title etc.

check fairtex out too.

Yeah, I like everlast and fairtex too. The cuurent head gear I have is decent but the cheek guards are just a wee bit too high for me, I may have to use them for now though. I like having the most perefial vision I can.
