I had been asked on several occassions to check out this forum by my brothers. I know some of the contributors here and some of them posses good skill and intent, to you I appologyze.

There is a great deal of junk and garbage talking going on here. [B]So, what is the point?![B] I mean, those of you I know and respect, I find it hard to beleive that you tolerate such nonesense.

KFO would be better served maintaining a forum by invite and sponsorship ONLY!!! Brothers you have been generous enough to share, You may have noticed it is almost wasted.

And Trolls (you know who you are), I always wondered what those people that come into martial arts schools (kwoon and dojo) just to sit on the benches and watching us train and sweat did with the rest of their time. Now we know.

KFO I mean no disrespect to your organization, I know the intent is good, to bring together people of similar interest for mutual benefit. Well there are always gate crashers. good luck anyways.

That makes you a gatecrasher too. Who the hell cares what you think? Why come on here just to slag it off? If you have nothing constructive to contribute then don't waste bandwidth.

You've got one big ego there!

Serpent-

Here's a quote that I feel you might benefit from:

"Be a hard master on yourself, be lenient on everyone else."

Chill out bro.

phoTai -

a public forum is no place for the thin skinned.

consider this -

"only a fool takes heed of the words of another fool"

or

If you know in your heart, what is true to you, then you know and you don't need to argue the point.
Strong as a mountain and free as the sky is for the whole being.

Besides, gems wouldn't be special if they were lying around all over the place now would they? :)

cheers

Chill out bro.

Can't I be hard on myself and everyone else? ;)

I'm not particularly wound up or annoyed. It just bugs me when people come onto places like this and say, 'Oh, you're all a bunch of d!ckheads' or anything similar. It's actually pretty funny, but I can't help reacting to it, at least a bit.

But don't worry, I'm quite chilled. I might comment on these things, but I've yet to get actually incensed by anything someone has said on a forum. :)

The truth is we are a bunch of d!ckheads. We know. We just don't like newbies telling us. Once, they have been corrupted they can call us any name they feel like.

Peace to you my fellow freaks!

The most ridiclous thing is that the guy that started this thread made that his first post. He actually registered in order to say that!

And he says we're the trolls?!

:D

(the following message should be read in a peaceful and calm tone of mental voice). Peace to all bystanders.

I had hoped that someone might have understood and dispelled my suspicions. But have only confirmed them. I appologyze for for being "thin skinned" as I have accidently punctured yours. I had made a general statment about a few Rogue trollers, who attack some reputable people and arts.

I would have liked to see a moderator take a more active role in filtering such "cheap shots" that only create noise. what if those same people you so defend, showed up at one of KF Quigong events and began to boisterously insult your guests. Of course, they would hopefully escorted out.

And now I have done what I was disatisfied with in the first place. detracted from discussion on Martial Arts. For that I am also sorry. However, any experienced businessmen (businesswomen) would chose a dissatified customer who complained. versus a customer who just walks out the door. this is the opportunity to develope a better product or relationship.

Again I appologyze, this is your forum and I did not realize another oppinion (Customer) was not welcomed.

What could I expect from a "Serpent" and people whose rhetoric is comprised of "D*ckhead" and "sh*tballs". amuzing.

Don't sweat it, phoTai.

People like Serpent would NEVER meet anybody in real life to back up their trash talk with physical combat.

Keep in mind that only a real kung fu fighter will put his actions where his mouth is.

Just remember that this is the Internet and thus it isn't real life.

well photai, no one is attemptin to sell you anything.

When I began moderating these boards, I did exactly as you think would be a better way. I was deleting and moving and warning and deleting and sending e-mails to offensive posters and so on until I finally came to realize I was wasting my own time trying to bring this thing into some sembalance of what I thought was correct.

I was wrong. People are people and first and foremost to my understanding people is that acceptance and understanding are key to building relationships. Making levity from the harsh, offering good information when asked and remaining silent when spotting a subject that may pierce my own thin skin. :)

anger is simply a waste of time and effort and generally to react angrily is exactly what the so called troll wants from you and in fact, the so called troll derives there pleasure from your anger.

I found to let the forum be a forum and to be a true exchange of peoples thoughts and insight was a much better perspective for me personally to approach from.

so, as this is an open forum, I will take out links to porn and hate, I will also thin out the gratuitous potty mouth if it is just childish gibberish. But I will not affect a viewpoint that conflicts with mine. That viewpoint may bother me and I have to ask myself why i feel that conflict and who am I to tell people what to think. If people think I'm an idiot and a know nothing then that is their opinion and they are most definitely in their rights to have it.

harbouring resentment towards others because of what you think things should be will gain you nothing but angst my friend.

a little fun is more than welcome here.

also consider that many of us here practice martial arts from the buddhist collections of arts. Buddhism encourages activly questioning things to ensure that proper perspective is gained.

proper perspective is by no means haveing the "same" perspective as everyone else.

do you ever wonder why many of those who are made fun of do not respond? perhaps they don't have the guts and hope it will fall to the bottom and be forgotten. On the other hand, maybe thy don't want to waste their time with anger.

If someone "insults" someone i know, they can take it up with that person. If they do it within arms reach, well that's different.

:D

cheers

Nice post Kung.
Pho Tai(your making me hungry:D )
Really though, I can definately comiserate. Some of these posts I read and sit back and say "you call yourself a martial artist" but then instead of wasting time being in frustration i just let it go.
Anyway, if you look hard enough you will find out who is quality and who is not.

Welcome aboard,

AOF

For heavens sake don't tell serpent, but I actually agree with him here!

What exactly is the point of signing up to the forum to post a general insult to the members?

I personally have had my fair share of arguments with other people on here, but I now regard them all as constructive in some way.
I find out who I can learn from, who to ignore, who I can have a good banter with and as stated elsewhere; we all learn a little more about ourselves when someone raises our hackles!

So PhoTai, I'm truely sorry that after all the trouble you have gone to in signing up just to make your brothers happy, that you are so disappointed with us. :(
Maybe if you stay around long enough, your opinion could be swayed?

Welcome to the only decent forum around!

cheers

Pho Tai, HuangKaiVun, you two should get along famously. You both have egos far bigger than necessary, so wrapped up in your own importance. Once again I ask, who the hell are you to dictate what this forum should or should not be like?

HKV, you're a big mouth from far away. Remember what I said; If you're ever in Sydney... ;)

You're so full of it, Serpent.

I'll go to Sydney one day to meet you in person, and YOU'LL NOT BE THERE. We all know that already.

That's why you don't have to sweat this stuff, phoTai.

Serp, can I borrow your shovel? It's getting deep.
Sorry, but it's just in my nature to be as big an arse as possible when things get heavy.:p
