Japan's crime rate is steadily increasing, and much of its crime actually is "hidden" for the sake of "face." Sad but true.

These kinds of things have been in Japan for a long time, and many Japanese are offended by them. The fact that people on this forum seem to point and giggle at the dark and sleazy underbelly of Japan, and refuse to talk about anything else about the country is a shame.
