Does anyone know what styles of mantis, if any, are alive and popular and being taught now in Yantai and other parts of Shantung, China?

The Yantai Boxing Association I am familar with lists over twenty different styles in its membership, none of them modern Wushu. As for mantis, they show Six Harmony, Mei Hua, Qixing as I remember off hand.

Surprisingly though I do not remember seeing Tam Tui Tanglang or Eagle Claw in any of its listings. The same could be said for Qingdao. As for other areas of Shangdong I don't know.

Hope it helps,

Thank you, I wish I could provide more information.

However since you brought it up, does anyone know of Shangdong Tam Tui Tanglang and Eagle Claw?

The only tan tui tang lang I know of is the well-known Wah lum tang Lang of Chan Poi.
Here's another school that says it teaches Shantung Tan tui and Eagle Claw- not exactly what you were asking for, I know.

"After the basic exercises are concluded, the class participates in the series of patterns called Thai Tsu Ing Chao (Eagle Claw Form) and Shantung Tan Tui. Each of these patterns has specific purposes and is used to cultivate different areas of competency (see Empty Hand Forms)."
