:confused: What's shadowboxing?

It's a way to practice combinations through visualizations and movement. It's like a free flowing a form. You imagine/visualize an opponent, and then you go through routines and combinations based on a hypothetical fight with this person.

Getting that real idea that there is a mean strong ****ed off opponent trying to hit you is the hardest part. You gotta move! Dodge fists, legs, knees, elbows, counter attack, etc.

There are many threads about shadowboxing on the forum in various places.

Basically the guys above me hit the nail on the head. One other thing that helps though is to use a mirror so you can see your movements and what king of openings you create and what you could expect to see as a counter attack.
