View Full Version : Getting a VISA for china.....from the UK

Could anyone help me in finding out how long it takes to get a VISA to travel to china? Going from the UK. And any fees that may be involved...
Any help is very appreciated...

Like all things in china depends on how much you want to pay :-P
Look online for the chinese embassy, you can print the pdfs. You will need two passport photos.
You can go for the 24/48 hour option or the
4 day options, all are different prices. Also
the embassy is only open from around 9:30 to 12:30. So you need to get there early. Also
you usually have to queue.

Cant remember besides I went about 2/3 years ago so the
price would have changed. Search for the chinese embassy
online. It should have the prices there.

I am not in the UK, but I would suspect that the process would be similar here as it is over there. Usually a visa takes no more than a week to be processed, a fast service is available but it costs a lot more.
If I remember correctly it wasn't too expensive either.
And the new visas look really cool :)

£30, Gotta send the paper form off cos there isnt an embassy in london (only ones in manchester and edinburgh) :(
