Sai question

Greetings to you all. I just bought a pair of octagon sai from the martialartsmart here. From looking at their catalog, they offer both octagon and round sai. My question is: What is the difference between the two types, in terms of handeling, functionality, practicality, or whatever else you'd like to throw in??
Which type do you all use in your practice, and have you made a choice for a specific type(round or octagon) for a reason?? Just Curious. :)

Penetration comes to mind. Twisting a round sai might not be as bad for the target a the edged octagonal sai.

I think I could appreciate whichever pair I got.

Handling should be really similar except for a difference in guard (double prong) design.

Someone once told me the octagonal sai are supposed to be better for breaking things. I dunno. I have only used the round ones.
