OT: spooky action at a distance

A month ago I very neatly placed a number of patch cables and power cables in a box, then slid it under a bed.

I just took it out and found the cables to be in a hideous tangle... they were all wrapped around each other in various complex knots. I don't think human hands could have done so neat a job, and I know for a fact no one has touched them.

Then I remembered that this happens consistently... patch cables, power cords for the lawn mower... put them away super neat, and a weak later they're in knots.

Then I noted how wierd that was.

Anyone know what the hell is going on with cables?

Because you lack the skill to prevent them from doing so.

String-Fu or Wire-Tie Fu.

Most prolly due to temp changes that stretch/shrink the cables or you might have gremlins.
Especially if they are rolled up tight.

It's the lead gremlins, man. Little demons that knot up any unsecured cables and leads. I play guitar. Those little gremlins used to drive me mad, man. Proof that there is more to this world than we know.

You should try setting traps. I don't think anyone's caught one before.

The gremlins did it. These guys are cousins of the gremlins that take the matching sock out of the dryer. The only way to foil them is to use wire ties.

That's right. Those sock stealing b@stards give me grief too.

Maybe we should use our mad skillz to rid the world of gremlins?
