How were you tested? What does that mean you can learn now? Do you get something that represents a new level or are you just called grade 2?

Test was 1st Section of the SLT plus techniques plus 30 mins fitness. Not much, but it took three and a quarter hours! The instructors are quite intense in their marking too. Basically the 1st grade is learning structure, stance and principles of Wing Chun. Now I get on to the fun parts like actual fighting 'n' stuff.

Grade 2 is often referred to as the "best grade in Jim Fung's Wing Chun" as it is where you start to learn how to apply the principles and structures that you've spent much time learning. You even get a pretty badge ;)
