Hello,

I'm having some serious weakness flaws in the zones on the side of my torso (so the side abdomen I think ?) so on the very left, and the very right of your stomache zone. The front is hard as a rock, but the sides are so weak ! I can barely tense them up ! Any way of focusing on these muscles ?

I've found that the side press (http://www.mensfitness.com/mens/superfeat/091002/side_press.html) works pretty well.

Sides of abs?
Besides abobos,try this.

Get a staff, wider than your shoulders and place it behind your neck, your hands on and twist your torso (above the hips=lower body erect) to side. You should feel this around the target area.
Then from there to other side, repeat as long as wished.

You can also change your usual sit-ups a bit by twisting to side, placing more emphasis on sides of abs (while you usually move in a straight line, get it?)

See, I've read in a few places that broomstick twists, oblique machines, and the like can be harmful to the spine.

But wouldn't you know, it, Pavel has an answer to that: http://www.t-mag.com/html/body_96ab.html

I hope you did not take offense from my post or anything since all I did was point out additional exercises.
Well, what you said holds some truth.
Exercises pointed out,"broomstick twists" is that recommended by professional bodybuilders, your basic sit-ups can indeed be hellish :) but you have to do them right, ways vary unless you do have some physical limitation.
I do not know what oblique machine is,so no comments on that. :o
