Liuhe Men can be roughly translated as something like Liuhe family or sect. Although Liuhe is a sect of Tanglang, the Liuhe you have come across is probably just Liuhe, as in Six Harmony family.

Actually it means sect as in clan, not as in a cult or religious sect, ha ha. Liuhe is a really good system. If you are using the net for info on it, try and search under Six Harmonies, Six Harmony, Six Combination or Water Boxing as it is sometimes known.
good luck

It is Shaolin Liu He Men (Yu Shi Shaolin) as passed on by Grandmaster Wan Lai Sheng. I prefer to treat 'Men' as Division or School [as in school of thought/practice] . (rather than cult or sect). Ie Shaolin 6 Coordinations Division.

Liu He is based in the theory of six combinations :
Internally : Qing(Essence), Qi & Shen(Spirit).
Externally : Shou(hand), Yan(Eyes) & Shen (Body)

" Eyes - Yi, Yi - Qi, Qi - Body, Body-Hands, Hands-Feet, Feet-Hips..".

Water Boxing is actually 'Liu He Ba Fa'

There is also Liu He Quan which is a Muslim originated art as well as being practised in the Hebei regions.

Cheers,

Could you go a little more in detail please ? I'm extremely interested. And do you have any clue what a typical training looks like when practicing Liu He Men ?
