Your question begs even bigger ones. Does shaolin kung fu exist? What is it? Who has the right to define it?

shaolin isn't defined by the forms that are practiced. shaolin is the technique, all shaolin techniques are twisting and coiling in motion....each movement if done correctly is twisting. my sifu says you may be able to do 100 shaolin forms but if you don't use the twisting power in all stances, punches, etc. then it isn't shaolin. i hope this makes sense. this is a quick description of how shaolin differs from other types of kungfu. this doesn't mean shaolin is better than any other, and some other styles may have this same concept....but this is basically how my sifu explains shaolin.
respect to all,
