Hi there,

Just wondered if there were any people here who study tibetan/chinese/indian astrology.
I wondered if there were any books you could reccommend or wether you would know how to find a teacher in this subject.

Astronomy is said to be the oldest science in the world,separate from astrology which is not a science in it´s terms.
Chinese astrology seems to be the most well-known,remarkable of these and possibly,possibly you may find links to Korean or Japanese forms etc. which are only Chinese astrology having spread to those countries.
While I cannot recommend any books,I can point you to some beneficial websites.

thanks for the sites buddy, they seem very entertaining:)... you found out my sign too... or did you just look at my pic.? My sifu is a horse, and apparently rats and horses don't get along. Guess I just have to wait and see.
The Buddha apparently also put a lot of emphasis on astrology and apparently there is a way of reaching enlightenment through the study of astrology.
I am not 100% sure of this however. I need to ask preceptor but don't think I will see him for a long time yet.

astrology shows characteristics and traits as a general guideline.
There are no absolutes in it.


so, signs that supposedly don't get along, really can get along so long as one is aware of what makes the other tick on a character level.

I have found that the sign I don't bind with as tightly as others is my own. (dragon). Also, same with aries.

Dragons are too competitive with each other.

I might add that those traits we revile in others are usually very dominant in ourselves. food for thought.
