Peace on earth? A stereo? Some cow batons?

I don't like to have a birthday. It feels like Im supposed to be more responsible and actually grow up. And then there's the present thing. What to wish for? I can never come up with anything I really want and it just bugs the hell outta me. And if I get someting nice I always feel embarresed coz I dont really need alot of stuff. So since my b-day is on tursday (20/3), the evil circle never stops.
So I'm asking you, what would YOU wish for?

If we're talking magic genie gifts, I want to be ten or fifteen years younger. If we're talking extravagant gifts, I want a working car, insurance, and enough money to get by for the rest of the semester. If we're talking reasonable expectation gifts, I want new paintbrushes, paint and plenty of masonite.

hmmm..... how about:

A local skilled auto mechanic who only works for the joy of his craft and doesn't charge anything to fix vehicles,

a large format color printer,

5-day weekends,

and a helmet and some cool shoes for mtn. biking.

:)

I used to know a guy who worked as a toy designer for a division of Mattel in Japan. If you think what kids actually GET is cool, you should see what the toys do before the safety/marketing folks get to them. I saw a prototype godzilla (about the time the recent remake came out) with amazing flexible skin over really detailed jointed skeleton. His fingers were jointed and he swung his head from side to side when he walked.
sweeeeeet.

that's a good wish, too. To be a toy designer.

Money is good.. but I guess a 'tad' boring. Seems like a car and tv and beautiful women are a commen wish. who can argue with that? :)

I would SO trade all of my old lame toys I had as a kid for a bunch of new ones. They have awsome stuff from the McFarlane (the Spawn guy) lines. Corps, Street Fighter stuff, awsome Marvel stuff with heavy detail. R u high? :D BTW it's just kids with sisters who turn out to be pu$$ies, ''borrowing'' their Nsync dolls

McFarlane Toys suck. Seriously. GREAT detail, I own lots of his stuff, but they suck. The stuff breaks easily, I can't tell you HOW many toys I got right out of the box from them that an arm fell off, or a hand or the head broke, etc. I bought the Violator from the movie, his hand broke off as soon as I opened it. Spawn 3 with the flip open wings, his arm got really loose and I had to glue it so it didnt fall out.

I remember buying one X-Men toy and the arm was on backwards! I still have it too, his arm doesn't bend forward like a normal arm should, his elbow goes backwards.

Ahhhh, but you see money can help you get all those things :D

I say financial independence simply because it means that I have the freedom to do what I want to do, whether that is train kung fu all day, work in a pizza shop, cut code, or even sit on my arse all day.
