Ok, here's the deal.
I have some time on my hand... and I thought I might as well lose some weight.
Now, I'm not overweight... it's just that I could lose 4 kg (9 lbs) weight of fat and do just fine without it.
I'm currently doing Pavels pushup-program and not much else.
I have an old exercise bike and thought I might put it to use.
So my question is as follows: I'm thinking about riding around on my bike as much as I can, so is there a upper limit to what is recommendable. For example would biking more than 5 hours a day be a problem healthwise ( besides being boring as hell ).
Im 23 years old and have no health-problems btw.
Answers appreciated....now it's time to drag that lump of metal out of the closet.

Five hours is a bit much, unless you're training for a marathon.

between 30 - 60 minutes keeping your heart rate between 50 - 70 % of your max rate should be fine to melt away fat.

A big part of fat loss, though, is eating habits (note, not "diet").

My suggestions are: reducing your food intake; HIIT/Tabata interval type training for cardio; and resistance training. A HIIT type program should not take more than 20 - 30 minutes. Do a search on this board for HIIT and you should find some more information.
