Not enough grappling talk. Not enough style v. style arguments.

Just trying to make you happy Joe.

Is JKD a style anyway?

I don't know. Is Wu Chu Chuan a style? :D

Seriously (let me dive into some controversy), I don't think Bruce intended for it to become a style, but it appears to have moved in that direction.

What is this training you speak of?

yenhoi

Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of stick work. Mainly single and a little double and long/short. Much conditioning.

Doing escrima?

Way OT.

Mainly because thats what I want to be doing right now.

;)

Escrima sure - My teacher's influences are Rick Faye, Larry Hartsell, and Guru Inosanto.

Highly inspired by Dog Brothers, considering the gathering in July. Sticks and knives are normally a part of our "official" system or method or whatnot.

Guru Inasanto = Dan Inasanto?

Inosanto. And yes.

So, what you're trying to tell us is that you've been practicing with sticks because you feel like it?

So, which is the 1% Yenhoi part?:D

BTW, Yenhoi, glad to hear your practice is going well, and that you haven't lost your antitrolling techniques in the last two months. A friend of mine has been doing some kali lately, and trying to get me involved. Unfortunately, I've been so busy with my own training, I haven't had the time.

Kc: Yep.

My work schedule this year is much lighter and almost fixed (as opposed to being on-salary and on-call - and Im getting paid more, sweet!) so my training has much more elbow space. Right now Im focusing on stick. :D

Weapons are fun, and part of my teachers art is Kali ;)
