Just thought I'd post a link for a 'primer' on biomechanics. (http://kinesiology.rice.edu/programs.cfm?doc_id=400) I found it to be quite helpful. IMHO, every student of martial arts and physical culture should have a basic familiarity of biomechanics/kinesiology.

Enjoy.

Nice find, KG. I'd recommend opening a second browser window and doing Google image search to find pictures of all these parts to go along with the words.

PLCrane,

Good suggestion! I am trying to find all the images right now and plug them into a word-doc.

Wow. I just meant for people to do that themselves while reading. If you succeed, I think you might earn a special place in kungfu heaven. If there's any chance of saving it as html for those of us who snub microsoft entirely (running linux, here), it would be much appreciated.

Also, if there's anything you can't find, let me know, and I'll scan it from one of my anatomy books.

I had tried previously to merge some threads in the past, but that met with about ... zero success. If you find a good link that pertains specifically to fitness, health or training -- something like good demonstrations of lifting techniques, or a successful weight loss program, or something else appropriate, please post it here with a description of what the link is about. I'm going to unstick the other threads this weekend and hopefully move their links here. Anyhoo, PM me if you have questions.

Thanks,

-david

ok, these have nothing to do with exercise, but they are for laughter, which is the best medicine after all!
