Alternative for hanging your heavy bag from the ceiling

Hey, this is gonne sound silly, but I saw the 'osbournes' on Mtv yesterday, and they showed his personal Gym, where Ozzy and his fat ass son 'work out'. So anyway, there was this sweet heavy bag, the kind you would hang from the ceiling in your garage, but it was attached to a metal construction, so it didn't actually hang from the ceiling, but was standing on the floor.. One bad thing about it was that you wouldn't be able to fully kick it I guess, which would suck. But if anyone has this type of setup, and has no problems with it, please leave me a reply or a PM !

Its the same concept as a corner stand for a wing chun dummy... Works well actually, and some of them come with an extra "arm" to hold the bag still...
Only thing I use my heavy bag for is drilling power and skin conditioning.... (we have a leather bag, its great to punch bare fisted)
