What are you're guy's thoughts on doing leg training(squats, leg press, stiff legged deads etc. ) while you have shin splints? I haven't really done any kind of leg work except running for the last few months and I want to do some squats, but I'm apprehensive due to the fact I have some bad shin splints at the moment. Any ideas?

yes. I wouldnt say Shin Splits should give you alot of trouble while doing squats - if they do though try taking a day or so without running or anything that may put alot of pressure on the legs (ie skipping), to allow them to 'heal', doing other exercises to fill in the gap if you dont want to be idle.
I think you should just give the squats a try and then see how you feel - let us know m8.....
