Competition

Hi,

I study Wing Chun and enjoy it immensly, but just lately I have been watching kickboxing, boxing on television and I have started feeling like I would love to compete and have something extra to train for.

I have no aspiration to take up any other art I just want to compete (fight!). Does anyone know of anything that could provide that, a friend of mine has mentioned free fighting tournaments.......what do you think

If you want to go to a format where you will be able to use WC MMA (freefighting) type events are probably your best bet. The open handed gloves will likely not inhibit you to any appreciable degree, and certainly not when compared to boxing gloves.

Note: I'm not a WC guy.
