I have no bad feelings toward Leung Ting or the rest of his line,
it kind of bugs me that he would choose a title of .......

Master of Almightiness!

Do the Chinese and Germans not realize that they are using
words that put LT right up there with God??

I've yet to meet a man that can claim to have those powers.

Although in my younger days I was known as............................

Steely-eyed missle man, Lord of all he surveys, Thane of Caudor...

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I have a problem with anyone who refers to themselves as a "master", let alone any of those titles. It almost demands derision.

The only better ones I've seen were given to boxers or pro wrestlers while their entrance music was playing.

"Master of Disaster ... Prince of Pain ... Ayahtollah of da Rock and Rolla!"

The most senior, most proficient martial artist and instructor I've ever met asked me to refer to him as "Dave".

A man after my own heart! The ironic thing is that in what other area besides TCMA can one be considered a master of a fighting method when they have never fought? TN

Wasn't "Ayatollah of Rock'n'Rolla" Mario Van Peebles in Heartbreak Ridge? :)

In my case, my brothers and sisters and me refer to him as "sifu". If we tried to call him by his first name, he'd probably kick our ungrateful, disrespectful little a$$es :D ;)

I think the first time I heard it was in Mad Max II / The Road Warrior, where the bad guy who got his fingers cut off by the steel boomerang was bigging it up for the Humungous.

Lord Humungus, Ruler of the Wasteland, is said Ayatollah -- not that snivelling, fingerless catamite!

Yeah, the Toady called the Humungous said Ayatollah. I thought that was what I said.
