yu shan's getting kicked off

yu shan told me he can't participate in the forum anymore. so why'd he get kicked off. i guess one could say some his posts were somewhat aggressive sounding. but he never said anything bad, and there are some raunchy people on here i think you'll agree. any time someone mentions applications, he's in there telling it how it is. that just how pong lai style is-all about applications, and he's happy that he's learning really good gong fu. i recall some people that have given him pretty nasty replies before.

yu shan is my shrfu and he's not someone who would go around starting fights but he sure as h ell wouldn't back down from one. great guy. i think Tainan Mantis would vouch for that.

In person Yushan is a very quite and refined gentleman.

On the forum he angered not a few people with his words.
This I know for a fact.

But is it a worthwhile reason to be banned?

Yu Shan got banned? I hope it's just a cool off period thing. If Ralek (not that I am comparing Yu Shan to a you know what) can return, I think Yu Shan could too. So don't give up trying. May be a new milder and gentler Yu Shan would help? I think he is just a passionate advocate for his beloved art. There is no foul in that. But then it is hard when others feelings are hurt too. So...Anyway, best of luck.

Telling it how it is does not equall being disrespectfull and putting other systems down. I have nothing againts yu shan and I do want him to comeback but with all due respect I find your post misguided.

Just because pong lai can walk the walk doesn't give you the right to put everything else down. Pong lai isn't the only system out there (and it's not the end all be all and no wl isn't the end all be all either).Many times i have come across very destructive guys of many different styles that can proabably pummel most of the guys in your style and any other but they have always acted humble wether they knew goju,bagua, or wing chun. I know yu shan is trying to bring out the combat side of cma to light because of the recent mysticism in kung fu ,and I respect him for that by all means, but arrogance is something not welcomed at all in the martial arts of any kind. Would you like it if someone in my style came on line saying that your style inefficinet and that your master holds back? No you wouldn't.

Obviously you were absent when yu shan said that wah lum is inefficient, that my si gung is full of b.s. (his own words mind you and ys he did use the word), and that wah lum is weak because it is weak at the top.

I will the first to admit that I am one of those people but I have only acted in defense of my style and my fellow kf family because of my loyalty and friendship towards them. Not once have done anything to attack him maliciously.

I have not been told of any bannings due to anything pertianing to this site/forum. It may just be a programing glitch. I have been contacted about this earlier, but YuShan should really write the tech support guys before he starts assuming anything.

There are others that surpass ys by a long-shot that are not banned, so I cannot see why he would have been.

I have noticed that yu has been less aggressive lately and unless I missed a good post I would find it hard to believe he would be banned. He does have a strong opinion but we are all entitled to that. Computer glitches happen.

NM pretty much explained it all above. I've got no problem with yu shan on this forum or personally, he's got a right to his beliefs. Just don't slam my si gung.

Kudos to yu shan’s detractors, who even here value free expression and the transmission of ideas over their own filial piety.
I most adamantly would like to see yu shan back again involved in the forum, as I roundly agree with both bung bo and Tainan Mantis. The man behind the screen name -he is my shrfu as he is bung bo’s- is not a capricious or violence-for-pleasure seeking hooligan, but rather a generous and giving man, who will teach solid gung-fu to the willing, and remain humble in attitude with those who have traveled before him.
I speak chiefly for myself, but I imagine that my fellow students of yu shan’s would agree, that he is roundly not an arrogant man. He is confident, for sure. He is also a firm believer in the system that we are involved in. We should all be able to believe in what we do firmly. Without unwavering confidence, your resolve will be gone in the truthful moment. You will lack the vim to be the “vengeful ghost” that the poet spoke of.
This forum is a place of cold words; meaning is often removed as the sterility of type has a tendency to do.

No, yushan is not his real name, kfo name- named after the tallest mountain in taiwan.

-hopefully is it just a computer problem, he said when he tries to post he gets a message stating something about the moderator not allowing him. I will check with him again to see what it is and maybe we can figure out what is wrong.
