How you likin' your iBook, Chen? I'm really enjoying mine, man. It's dope. It took a minute to get used to adapting to OS X, but I'm beginning to like my Mac better than PC.

Also, I have great news...well for me at least. I've been made co-cooridinater of the IPR Hip Hop night a.k.a. Me and Emp's first show together. My first action is to change it from a strictly musical experience to a showcase of Hip Hop and all of it's elements. Empathy will be bringing up 5 pieces of art + the one painting I have in my room and he will be doing a "Freestyle" painting while others are performing. I'm trying to get some B-Boys to come out to the show to make it more of a Hip Hop show as opposed to a Rap show. I'm also working on a 45 minute mix complete with transition beats for Empathy to talk over and considering making a video to back the music. Visuals always make it a more enjoyable experience. On top of all that goodness, we'll be handing out 50 free copies of a mixtape after our show and will be recording the set for documentation purposes.(maybe even to ship to my ORAist)

Well, friends back to my suddenly extremely busy life. I'll catch y'all cats down the road.

We've done some Hip Hop shows here, some more sucessful than others. An open mic for an hour or two, some people doing some live pieces bombing, some b-boys, some djs, some hotty's etc... always fun though. Do it for the fun, and the money will come was our motto.

And speaking of music, I went to the best show I've been to since Aesop Rock-Mr. Lif's show. I saw Sage Francis and Atmosphere made a suprise guest appearance. Atmosphere played with a live band and just showed up out of thin air. Not on the roster, not announced. Slug just came out between Sage and some other group, didn't introduce himself and suprised the crowd.

Cats up here in Minnesnowta love Slug. It's crazy...people knew from his first word who it was. They went bananas...I went bananas. It was ****ing awesome....

I'm exposing myself to all sorts of new music and live shows. This weekend I'm gonna go see the one and only Herbie Hancock playing a tribute to Miles Davis...

I'm really looking forward to that.

I bet y'all forgot about Beat Cypher...now called "The Relaxation Effect." For y'all unfamiliar with it, the relaxation effect is what the human mind does to brace for major tramua. It helps reduce pain and maybe damage and can also heal.

I like "Bracing for impact". I think the album works better when listening to it as a whole rather than individual parts, but that's just my opinion.
My favourite track out of the lot which for obvious reasons seperates itself from the pack, is "Slow Death" I think DJ Psyentific added a nice touch to an already nice track.

A little more trippy than I usually listen too. The one breaky track was tight as hell. In a whole I liked it.. in it's parts, I still liked it, but not quite as much. The sample of the scooby beat... that was tight, someone in NY used it in the late 90s, and I had it on tape with a freestyle I believe. It was off of a stretch armstrong radio show either way.. one of the ILLEST beats ever.

I've listened through it a few times now and I'm gonna try to rewiev this.
On the whole, I think you were trying to get some kind of industry sound (like u mentioned NIN). I think it sounds more teccno or alternative dance though. The tracks themself seems alittle to week to stand on themself, but it still feels like they have something incommon with eachoter when put together. It has a simillar feeling from start to end, wich is good.

Bracing for Impact - as an intro, it's pretty long. I like either high energy tracks as intros, so u'r sucked in to it and get more pumped to hear the rest. Or, shorter atmospheric ones. The beats are good and I like the feeling of it and I think it wouldn't blurr out so much if it were shorter.

My New infliction - Good rythm. The softer parts mix well with the drum set like the beats with symbals. I like it. I'm missing a bass of some kind though. that or something lower to contrast the drums. This track imo would have been a better intro.

violent generation interlude - fun :)

Slow Death -this one stands out. high energy, great rythm and feeling. This should be longer, it ends in the middle of my headbanging.

Mizers Love Scandal interlude - This is ok, the bass is making the track feel more organic. It's short so it's hard to really say anything else than it's pretty good. I think u could make a whole track of this if u wanted too.. Add some different slings of tones and vary with some slap bass. The possebillitys are endless.

The Nautilus Theory - This and Slow Death are the ones I like most.

Hermit Break - The drums seem to take up too much of it. It's very minimalistic, sorta like some kind of Neptunes stuff. I dunno, I don't really like this. I think it's too minimalistic. Nothing to lift it or set it up.

Moment of Impact - gotta love the name. It's pretty standard, except the very last part with just the xylo (or whatever their name is), that last part sounds great. Like that sound. The first half of it is a bit dull though

This wasn't the best I've heard from u. Some of them are ok and atleast two of them are good in my ears. The ones on the SifuBeats site holds a much higher standard I think. It sounds very experimental wich is good, but it didn't quite hit the mark. It could need more instruments.
Still I wish I could get of my ass and do something like this. Hope I could b of any help

From the start, I was expecting something different than what I got.

I was expecting the "g-riginal" Mizer, the angry, techno-inspired trip-hop that jumped out and grabbed you by the short and curleys and made you listen.

Not so with this.

No, with this, you are stuck at the first sound, the first note. You immediately drop whatever it is you're doing, and you listen. And you enjoy.

And those interludes were funny as fukc.

If you can make it out to Minnesnowda, I can guarentee you that I can record your whole album. We just did Empathy's, we did 8 tracks in 8 hours. It's in post production as we speak.

My internship will be turning into a job after I put in 60 hours. I will be getting paid $20 an hour on top of working a weekday job. All I do is track vocals for some gangsta ass 5hit. I mean this is some thuggish type rap I'm recording. I'll see about getting it to y'all.

I'm not one to knock how a next person is living, obviously they're both well off and famous. qualities I myself don't have as yet.
However I do think the whole premise of celebreality is distateful and I'm not really keen on vh1's take on anything. It's a very nagative station, that's full of jealousy anmd propoganda, and there's not one positive thing on it. Man...I'm sick as hell, guys. I had such a bad fever that I was hallucinating. My mom called me and woke me up, I was so out of it that I started crying and kept asking her, "Why did you take her away from me?!?" She was spooked as all hell, but she finally woke me up. I went and took my temp and it registered at a whooping 103. I was a few minutes away from going to the E.R., but a cold bath brought my temp down some.

I had a viral infection in my throat and severe sinus drainage. That in turn clogged tubes in my ears. I felt like I had cotton balls holding in water. Needless to say, my musical kung fu was severely hampered.

Now, I'm back to about 75%, I too can now swallow without wincing. I can hear a little better (althought, that ******* left ear stands clogged in defiance), and I'm back at work/school.

I'm going to do what all sick people should be doing....burning a fat fukkin' bowl.

She was my roomies ex. They were together a total of 4 weeks and were broken up for 3 weeks. I smashed it once, she got crazy attached so I stopped answering her calls. She got back with my roommate and said I under cut him and crushed that two days after they broke up.

No more roommie support.

There's no proof it was her, but someone did it while I was out of town for the weekend. I'm missing all my work...music I made and can't buy back... :(

Good News is, they didn't erase all my 5hit. They simply moved it around on my harddrive and it's really a pain to find again.

I'm broke as a joke after moving this month....

I should be raking in an extra 300/ week in OT but don't have that money in my hands until basicaly August. I get paid once a month, and OT is on the next months check, so when I worked 18 hours on the 8th, I don't see that money until the last working day in JULY....

either way, work is crazy hectic, weird being the boss on a $5M job. Now I see why people get to this point in there career with the state then go private.

The ex is out of the country, and I couldn't pick a better place for her. Talk about frustrating, after paying out 400 for a new carpet, I gave her money for bills that we were splitting, then all of a sudden it was all on me. So, I gave her about 200, then had to come up with 750 for my security deposit, and 750 first months rent. Either way, she's gone, I'm on my own, and will be back on top after a few months pay....

Which brings me to TJL roll call, who all think they'll head. I'm going to have to be last minute, but as of now, if I can, I will.

What's up everyone? It's been like 30 C's here all week, it's as hot as it was in Croatia. I was at training camp for a week, I had fun. It was rough but fun, not exactly vacation though. My friend punched one guy and kneed another in his head in two seconds, over some arguing. And just the other day I was in the subway, this drugged up guy walks up to an old lady and push-kicks her in her back. Emediatly some guys next to her gets controll of him and hes stumblin all around, I'm walking forwards him but when I'm about to drag him out of the just arrived train, some guards beat me to it.
Other than that it's very relaxed here.
What about London huh? That's crazy I've been in all those locations too.

I'm here to discuss a new gemstone that was sent to me by my good friend Chaser. He was kind enough to grace me with a pre-listen to his upcoming LP. I have to say I'm impressed. His lyrics are anything but trite and played-out. He has a fresh approach to Hip Hop. I really dig his delivery...the Jamaican accent on some real Hip Hop is an interesting thing.

I can tell, however, that they are still rough cuts. Chase, you are on the right path, friend, and with a little more time you truely will have a chance at breaking out. If you ever need pointers, Mixing, or Mastering. I'd be honored to help you out. Also, if you can scrape together the funds to make it up to Minnesnowta I can offer you a facility to record in and I'll mix and master it free of charge. I was just given the keys to the studio tonight...

been a while. I got married, I'm in the process of relocation as some of you people might know already. Anyways CPA, thanks for the feedback. You know I'd love to fly out to MN but I'm flat broke at this point in time. would it work if I put everything on a dvd and mailed it to you , I'm trying my best with these files in cubasis. they're all stereo wave files, so they should work with a macintosh with whatever softawre you're using. I also have the mixed files saved as .All and . Arr if that's any help.
Tell me what's what. I have about 9 songs which are a far ways along in the process.
