my buddy is considering getting this bench:

looks good enough from the pic, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with the company ... if their products were sturdy and such. seems like a hell of a deal.

.... also my buddy noticed that it looks like you may be able to pull the bench out so the bench bars could be used as a squat rack ....anyone know if that's true?

Dude, I was just at Academy sports the other day and saw a great bench for $200. It had a detached bench that can go flat/incline/decline. You can use it for squats too. I'm definitely getting that one. I forgot the brand name on it though.

i paid 250 for a cap with a squat rack on it, but this one comes with 250lbs olympic set with bar .... thats mostly why i thought it was a good deal.

plus it has the lat pulleys .... you can get along fine without them but i'd use them if they were there.

i was mainly concerened on whether or not it was a sturdy piece of equipment.

I had a weider many years ago that had the lat and the leg extension. It wasn't very sturdy IMO.

I also got a 300lb O-Set from academy last week too.

as a side note i think the leg extension is pretty much useless, but they all have them these days and that's my personal opinion.

I agree on the extension thing. I see a lot of people using it for rehab though.
