I've been asked by Gigi to post notification about Stanford Wushu's showing of Kung Phooey for Philip Wong. It's this weekend - for more info, check our calander (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/news/index.php?month=06&year=2003)

not to correct my boss and all, but since this is for Gigi, two things:

1. you misspelled calendar ;)

2. you're the boss. make it a sticky, man. use that power. c'mon. it's for Gigi. :D

Yeah, my spelling is getting pretty bad. It's from reading too much Chinglish and too many bad submissions.

I'm not sure why my posts on the main forum are turning sticky. I'm not doing it. Weird. This is over and done with anyway, so I unstuck it.

Because the sweet sugary coating you get from all of the bon-bons is covering your keyboard?
I choose you calendaur!!!!!

state. we're the one by the real ocean.

that in mind, we should think up some washington slogans ...

washington state -- all the trees and corresponding hippies, but only half the arseholes as the other washington.

washington state -- with all this coffee, you'd think we'd drive better.

washington state -- we're really sorry about the nirvana thing.

washington state -- where all the hippy students go who can't afford berkeley.

washington state -- yes, we actually do use 4WD sometimes, you focking californians

washington state -- starting point for canada's invasion.

washington state -- at least we're not texas.

yeah, but all your heroin addicts sharing one big needle must send healthcare thru the roof.

rubthebuddha

actually, heroin is only a problem in seattle, and mainly in musicians.

problem: 90% of seattlites think of themselves as a musicians.

the rest of the state is meth labs, especially the outskirts of tacoma. i think tacoma/pierce county has more meth lab busts than any other place in the states.

washington state -- at least we're not texas.

Amen!

The meth is all over now, worse in middle america from what I understand...

aye, i just checked. pierce county used to be the ... er ... leader in meth labs, but you're right -- it is all over.

i think it has more to do with the trailer-park stigma of meth than it does with any geographic location.

maybe that's why tornados love trailer parks -- they always get a good buzz when trashing a lab.

First off, KC, last I checked, was the meth capital of the world, thank you!

Second, perhaps we should have been checking our colanders all along?

Why is it that conversations that involve Gene always gravitate towards drugs?

Hippy.

rubthebuddha

cause if we make fun of his family or job, that'd be rude.

but if we make association jokes between him and drugs, it's observational humor.

silly man. ;)

So we can't combine the two and start on at his crack ho momma?

Drugs again is it? Just because I work in intevention, I suppose. Actually I haven't been doing much for the Free Clinic lately because I've been too busy with my family. I do miss that but it's hard to volunteer your time for karma work when you got a three year old.

And as for my job, come on now, which of you wouldn't give your right nut to sit in my seat. In all honesty, it's a job with as much stress and pressure as any I suppose, but I get to spend nearly all my time in the martial arts world. Now if only that time were pent practicing....
