BAHAHAHA
Some key points-

"Operation Great Job!, "

Clinton said. "We also send the equally important message to our own troops that what's important is not whether you defeat the enemy, but that you try your best and have fun."

"but even if they make a few mistakes, we'll still be very, very proud of them."

"Defense Secretary has urged all U.S. troops to tie their shoelaces "nice and tight"
Whenever you're in a combat situation, there is almost always going to be some running involved," Cohen said, "And the last thing we want is for any of our soldiers to trip and fall."

"specially modified C-130 "short planes."

BAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Just like the short bus!
lofl!

""We are going to win the war," said Pvt. Richie Ammaker of Hagerstown, MD, eating his snack cup with a Capri-Sun juice-pak. "I love to clap and sing along to the music!"

""Colonel Gene [Diering] says that if we take out the communications tower in Al Basrah, we can have a pizza party," Pvt. Josh Paretsky of Dallas said. "Pizza party! Pizza party! Pizza party!"

"We have gone over maneuvers and protocol in detail, and we have all marked down our special targets in our special notebooks," Merritt said. "The soldiers know they are not to wander off from the group. They know they are to use inside voices when in enemy territory. And they know they are to go to the bathroom prior to all ground assaults. This group is ready."

"But if there are setbacks, such as soldiers losing their keys or having trouble staying on task or forgetting to take their pills, it could take longer."

that every soldier who participates in Operation Great Job! will receive a shiny medal. "This is truly going to be a very special invasion."

My dear lord... The entire thing was almost a highlight..... oh man.... funny stuff....

:) Ill be laughing all day.....

Sorry, WD, I like giving you Sh!t. I can be an as.s sometimes, but I have fun.

RTB, sorry I missed a good one, I was in a hurry to go off and train.

MS, When I'm ready, we can have a match if you like, and you can promote it. I'm a good 18 months away form being ready though. I'm not doing like last time. When I'm 110%, THEN I'll socialise and play with others again, not till then. In the mean time, I'll keep giving WD greif when I can. That way he will be motivated to train harder, and maybe he'll have a bit of a chance when the time comes. :D

Dude, seriously, your not doing anything I haven't come across in the 14+ years I've been doing this stuff. Yeah, I picked up some cool tricks, and got some refinement on my external game with you guys, but still, it's nothing out of the ordinary or exceptionally unbeatable. To be honest, I don't even agree that some of the things we were doing were even right. I've forgotten more than you even know. Your like where I was in 1995. The only thing that gives you an edge right now is the fact that I'm not really in anysort of fighting shape, and your younger by about 7-8 years and better conditioned.

Seriously, if you want to fight, when I'm 110%, we can fight all you want. It will be you against Tai tzu video fu (If you still think that's all I know  )

sibling rivalry. they're both from the dragon family. one likes to pretend he's sovereign, and the other just gets the first one wet. this further irritates the royalty, who makes more orders, and the watery one just responds as usual.

it's like the five elements feuding, they just stopped counting at two. it's akin to a vicious circle, but it's more like a game of pong. how will it end? one will eventually have to pick his nose or ass, and that second he takes his hand of the controller, it's all over.

:D

One could almost compare it to the great JKD vs TMA controversies. One, Royal, established system; the other, Water, formless and unfettered by dogma.

Or it could just be a couple of loudmouths arguing over the internet.

Stay tuned to see the outcome of the week's most irrelevant duel!

if you guys are really friends settle the fu ck down before i burn pentagrams into the cement walkways in front of both your houses. i done it before.

seriously ... do not risk a friendship over online bickering ... thats fu cking stupid. trust me i know. couple years ago my stubborn ass didnt talk to shuul vis for about 3 weeks over an argument we had in ultima online. hes my best friend and i feel like a jerk for it now .... even though i was right :)

if you guys are friends and feel the need to cross hands there's no need to be di cks about it.

if you guys aren't really friends (more than just aquaintances) i apologize for butting in and ill sit back and enjoy the kfo pre-show. either way im all about coming down to watch/tape.

Royal Dragon
06-05-2003, 05:49 AM
Nope WD and I are not freinds. He just ****es me off, so I feel obliged to give him ****.

However, back when we were training together, he wanted to test a theory he had about useing one of the techniques as an entry to a choke. He asked me if he could try it on me, and would I let him in for it. He then proceeded to choke me so hard I was swollowing Chunks of something when it was all over. I had a soar throat for three weeks after that. Now granted, I probably should have tapped sooner, but given the situation, and that I was allowing him in to test his theory for the entry, I don't think I should have had to tap at all. It wasn't a match, it was suposed to be friendly practice.

After all that, he has the balls to mention online he was upset because I Plamed him a bit to hard once. Really, if it hadent been for that comment, and the ones about useing my back injury as an excuse for not pushing as hard as "He" though I should, I wouldn't think he's such a complete Dick.

That's Ok though. If, and more likely when, we fight, I can feel free to bust him up right off because of that. Fights tend to end quickly, and in my favor when I don't have to worry about the opponents safety.

KC Elbows
06-05-2003, 07:15 AM
Totally staying off of the whole argument thing, but that three week sore throat from chokes and such sucks ass. Makes me not want to get choked almost. But then, I'd have to trade in my zippered outfit and gimp mask, and without those, you can't hope to compete in the world of six elbows.

WD, are you and monkeyslap part of the same school? I have a hard time keeping up with who practices together in the Chicago group.

RD, how's the recovery going? I know when I had my back injury, I spent about a year trying to work through it, which was about the dumbest thing I could do. After maybe four months of taking it easy on my back, it was good again. Hopefully, you'll get up to healthy quick.

Okay, back to the regularly scheduled program.

Merryprankster
06-05-2003, 07:24 AM
Yes, better indeed. I have a friend in Milwaukee so I'll make a side trip sometime, whenever you guys are ready.

I am in chicago let me buy tickets.

As for the standing choke tapping thing. If he was really trying to choke you, which since it was just training I hope he was, how would he know if the choke was working if you did not tap?

He must of just not had the choke set in right for it to take that long, if that is what happened specificaly, just on Saturday in silat we were doing standing choke enteries, and I was tapping like within microseconds of the choke clamping in, if I or my partner were not doing it right we would spend the time adjusting so we would feel it, how else is their to learn, both to choke and to feel the choke?

MP - PM me with your e-mail, and I'll set you up with some people to play with in Chicago. I don't live there anymore, but I'm sure a couple of my guys would love to have a friendly roll with you - why is it that only the MMA guys are mellow about this?

Do you fight with knives?

WD - Rd is simply demonstrating what he does not know. I choose to stay out of this. Ask Brian Eble (or any skilled player who has met him) about Gian's 'high level' of skill and knowledge, and then you can consider the value of his criticism of my school.

RD - you need to chill dude. really. The internet is fun and all, but you honestly don't know what you think you do. I've tried to be nice about this, but now you are maligning my school, which was gratious enough to invite you in as a friend. This is how you refer to it? I don't care if you have a beef with RD, but you never demonstrated any ability or knowlege that makes you fit to judge what we do.

I've got a great idea - we all want a piece of Merry, so let's just get 4 or 5 guys, take turns sparring with him until he gets really tired from taking us down and submitting us, then the last guy who is fresh will do a 360 degree jump reverse spinning hook kick and knock MP out. We'll delete the footage from the first matches and post the last kick up on the web with the title: "Traditional Kung Fu vs. MMA" That'll show the world!

As for the comment that I don't agree with everything you guys do, it's not maligning you. And I stand by my comments. I DON'T agree with everything you do. That's not maligning your school, it's simply not agreeing with everything you do.

I don't care if you have a beef with RD, but you never demonstrated any ability or knowlege that makes you fit to judge what we do

You mean WD?

As for me demonstrating, no I didn't, I was there to learn stuff, not teach. However, there are certian things I just plain don't agree with. There is nothing wrong with me not agreeing with all of your methods, and there is nothing wrong with me saying so. Your not Gods, your human. In all honesty, NO TWO SCHOOLS agree on everything. Everyone has their own opinions.

Personally, I appreciate the refinement on my external game. Some of that however is not because of what you guys taught, but because of questions that arised from the teachings. I then went and thought, compared and talked to my own guys and finnaly decided I really don't agree with you guys on certian things.

Not everyone looks at things, and comes to the same conclusions. I'm just a big enough As.s h.ole to say it out loud.
