- what other organisations are there big or small? are they geographically located or spread out? i'm not interested in if they are held to be 'good' or not, we all have our own opinions.

I thought that only the English try for understatements

thats a strange website leung ting has.
they claim that the roots of martial arts are in ancient egypt, that they moved to the greek 'pakurans' (try a websearch the word doesnt exist, and i know my ancient history) then martial arts moved to india and were influenced by yoga etc...

err no..

thanks for the link though.

2 many to mention,

ITSWA (Derek Frearson / Foshan Wing Chun)
Wong Shun Leung Groups and many other smaller groups.

I teach a group of about 30 in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

thanks paul

would i be right in thinking that some associations grew up in the UK and expanded here, and some are offshoots of external or international associations that set up UK centres?

There is also Nick Smart / Milan Prosenica's Autodefence (used to be Pro-Am Wing Tchun Organisation)

Not sure how big they are nowadays, but I remember them as being pretty decent. They were the first Wing Tsun group in the UK, before splitting from the IWTA for political reasons. I trained with them for a while, and fondly remember that time.
