Listening – training:

· Awareness is trained through listening to the surroundings. Listening to every single sound and happening that goes on around you, through this, we develop energy, receptivity, and sensitivity. It trains the ability to listen, but whilst listening you build up the ability to be sensitive to your surroundings.
· It also sharpens the perception of things around you, by making you sensitive to the slightest sound. In short, it puts you on edge. Attune your ears to the place where there is silence around you. Listening here you will hear all noises around you.
· It builds immediate attention to facts and things that go on, without waste. It cuts down on lazy attention and builds dynamic attention. Attention that is receptive to all things around itself and within itself. This type of training can be done whilst walking, whilst eating, while resting, whilst doing anything – attune your ears, quieten your mind and pick up on things that occur around you, sharpen your wit with the things that go on within you.

What you say is true but should not be mistaken with listening force or Tung Jin, which ultimately is the ultimate refinement in listening.

You've got the right idea, VoidNinja.

Eventually you'll figure out that you can't be on that intense listening edge all the time. People have to sleep and rest too.

When working hard, WORK HARD.
When resting, REST.
