Principals:

Protect the centreline.
Train to use 2 arms at the same time.
Avoid fighting force with force.
Watch the lead elbow and knee.
Use linear striking action.
Use pressure points to make striking more effective.
All exercises are used to develop internal energy or chi.
Use same meridians to treat sport injuries.

Strategy:

Use the centreline and force the opponent to take the outside path.
Control the opponents blindside.
Attack the opponent’s balance.
Attack the opening.
Trap the lead elbow.
Pin the arms from the blindside.
Keep moving.
Know your ranges.
Use entry technique.
Let your reflexes guide you.

Am i missing anything?.......

I beleive your last three principals [sic] have no place on such a list.

For the third last I'd say "intelligent targeting" rather than pressure points, which involve the imaginary science of dim mak.

My exercises are designed to win in combat. If I want to be healthy, there are better exercise regimens than WC.

I use RICE and visit chiropractors and sports medicine therapists for sports injuries. I have a diploma in TCM based massage therapy, but as both patient and practitioner I've found it doesn't alway match the hype.

But, opinions vary. Not a bad list otherwise.

IMO - people get so caught up on theory sometimes they can't see the forest for the trees.

It's all a bunch of mumbo-jumbo until you can make it work.

Nice list from a TWC perspective. But you left off something very important from a "general" WCK perspective......efficiency and economy of motion.

for when I go to the grocery store -- which is okay because my life isn't in jeopardy at Loblaw's.

What could be added to this thread is David McKinnon's discussion on the concepts that are used in Chi Sau. Hawkin Cheung Sifu, a very small guy, used these concepts to neutralize very effectively big guys all the times. Very good WC application.
