If it's worse than this, I don't want to hear about it. (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=583&ncid=583&e=2&u=/nm/20030617/od_nm/india_boy_dc)

poor kid. :(

at least there's a song about it:

if your peepee's full of beetles, clap your hands
if your peepee's full of beetles, clap your hands
if your peepee's full of beetles
and it feels like peeing needles
if your peepee's full of beetles, clap your hands

ok. now i'm going back under my rock. :(

You know, I would've expected something like that from GDA, but not from you, rubthebuddha.

Congratulations!

My late grandfather had a bee flying to his eye.
Later when he attended a doctor because of pain,it was found he had a bunch of worms in his eye.

Some guy in denmark had something similar. He had been traveling to some obscure foreign country. and when he came home, he found out that big worm-like creatures had hatched on top of his head, below the skin of his skull. He said he could feel and hear them eating the flesh of his skull!

Christ, I'm sorry I asked. Is there any body part that's NOT presently being used as an insect larva hatchery?

Why interested? Do you need to store something?
I can look for you...

No, I'm just looking for a reason to maintain hope that I'll have to die before I become worm food.

U can dwell on the thought: "What body part would be the worst place to hatch large insects: your wheenie, your eye or your skull?"

tough one..

We should respect insects and entomology more.

Did any of you guys see that story about the guy who either had insect larvae or fungus or something in his sinus cavaties and the docs scraped 'em out with a trowel or some similar torturous instrument? Result: He was left with a big canyon in the middle of his head: eyes and nose and most of his mouth gone. This program was one one of those stupid reality shows or something equally dumb.

So the plastic surgeons made up a face mask to cover the huge canyon in his face: something that looked like it came out of a mister potato head box, but at least it gave you a point of reference when you spoke to him without tossing your cookies all over the ground when he approached you with that horrific visage....

I have had some issues with ants.
However, ants as an example are extremely succesful and tough as boots.
They have been around for LONG and I would not wonder if they´d be here when we´re gone.
Ants are the biggest form of animal life, ranging as far as some 20 000 species.
Spiders etc. are not insects btw.

Budokan: woah! How could he live?what about his brain, when there's a big hole in his face?

Budokan

It didn't eat into his brain, just his sinus cavities. The doctors slapped some kind of spackle into the cavern in his face to seal it up initially...

I think this guy was on "Ripley's Believe it or Not", but not the one with Jack Palance, the newer version...

Actually those news are real and not a joke, I know quiet a few that were listed there and are true as they were local ones and widely reported both on national TV and newspapers here.

Granted some seem a bit farfetched.

If you check at other news-sites like CNN and BBC you will those news there too, usually in similar sections.

Cheers.
