Guys,

My instructor, Lloyd Irvin, knocked himself out going for a flying triangle at a tournament. He already has had a severe neck injury that left him laid up for weeks, almost months. Basically, this probably ain't good. Give him your best fellas!

Lloyd is walking around now. Still don't know the extent of the injury, but this is undoubtedly better than the initial report, which had him going to the hospital.

I'm sorry to hear that too. I was in a car accident about 10 days ago and my neck isn't back to normal. I hope he recovers fully and as quickly as possible. Take care.

so, how do you go for a 'flying triangle'?

just trying to picture the injury...did he fall backwards?

all the best for his recovery.

This is a picture series, but it's a pretty good idea of it.

Never would have happened if his aura was enhanced and he had trained proper Iron Shirt.

Im sorry thats a poor attempt at humor, I really hope your instructor makes a good fast recovery.

This should not be tried on the street or in competition unless you are a master at this move! It could get you seriously hurt.

Sounds like even someone who has mastered it can get hurt bad.:(

Hope your instructor is doing better.

I got hold of him today. He's doing better but has a bad headache. Lloyd, in typical Lloyd fashion, wanted to keep going at the tournament afterwards, but the Doctor stopped him. He may go in for a CAT scan if he doesn't start feeling better soon. However, he didn't complain about limited movement or anything so that's good.

FWIW I think somebody asked about the 189 tourney. Dalla won that AFAIK. :D

****, I go away for two weeks and when I come back everyone's crippled.

I'm really sorry to hear about this, MP, and I wish Mr. Irwin all the best in his recovery. Please do let us know how he's doing.
