What kind of education do you need to be a TCM doctor?

There are schools for it- one in Oregon I think, a few in Canada. These are well-regarded, I think. Check on google. There are more than a few shady schools, at least one being an online/learn by mail outfit that really is just a front for a line of herbal products.

Check with laws pertaining to practice in the location you want to go to before you invest time or money in it.

Be aware of terms like 'accredited, unaccredited'- they don't carry the same weight.

It will depend on the State that you live in. Requirements differ by State.... some States like CA have their own examining body and you are required to pass the State Board exam. Most States require you to have completed a formal program of study, as well as passing the national (NCCAOM) examining Board's licensing exam before you are allowed to practice. Some States, like AZ, have more lenient requirements, comparatively speaking.
