at least it's a little better than 5000 techniques in three weekends with a set of videos and a bag of cheetos. :)

how about the ones saying "three techniques that will overcome ANY opponent, no matter how strong or skilled. will also work on any weapon."

or anything promoted by yellow bamboo, for that matter.

The old ad for "SCARS" (the secret and deadly yet painfully easy style to learn) was also pretty funny. My Si-Hing just got a new student who used to study "SCARS". The student showed us some of it. Absolutely hysterical.

This one is also pretty funny. I have seen it used in wing chun, tai chi and other styles:

"The only student of Grandmaster "XYZ" to learn the true/secret//traditional style of (blank) to the exclusion of all other Grandmaster "XYZ" students."

I love that one

Other funny ads are the ones that play the "generation game". You must be in the (blank) generation in order to be considered authentic.

If you are less that a 10th generation wing chun student (meaning 11th or 12th generation) then you just plain stink.

Meanwhile Tai Chi is in its what generation?? 40th? 50th? 110th?? Those guys must really stink!!!

I suppose if kung fu is supposed to degenerate and worsen with every generation that practices it, then we might as well pack up and go home...
