The styles that we train in are often governed by our opportunities. That is to say we start a class because it is convenient or affordable. I was wondering if you could study any style (or with any sifu from any style) outside of your current, which style would it be and why.

Outside of my current style, and if I had the time/money, I'd probably do kali and bjj.

I can't think of any other style I would rather do, or learn from any other teachers. I was lucky enough to stumble upon my dream style first time.

Pretty happy with what I study and with whom.

I would look at Hsing-I/I-Chuan, Baji, Tai Chi Chuan, and possibly Bagua..though I think the first would be Hsing-I. That is of course, if I didnt keep finding the exact same movements and concepts in my Current style..so who knows.

I'm a big fan of the Jun Fan portion of JKD, and the methodology that a lot of JKD schools seem to employ. So, I'll say JKD.

My thoughts exactly. You couldn't find 10 decent MA teachers in Croatia if you looked with a microscope, but I (with no previous experience in MA whatsoever) was lucky enough to find a direct student of sigung Wong Shun Leung. Wing Chun is the only style for me, and my sifu the only teacher.

I've always liked Choy Lay Fut.

I'm lucky enough to have access to two different Sifus that know a lot of different styles. In a few years, once I'm somewhat proficient at what I'm doing now, I'd like to start studying Hsing-I.

I'd just like to add some more grappling to my arsenal.... Which I've been debating going to take classes from Amal Eason.

The more I watch the splashing hands vids, the more I like it. I love their stepping techniques... Very aggressive... Very interesting applications and hand movements as well... And the little 9 heaven kung fu sounds very interesting as well... Gotta say from what Ive seen, out of all the styles I have seen, I like splashing hands the best. Only problem that only way to learn it here is by video.

I suppose if I had to pick a style/teacher other than my own, I'd pick Liu He Ba Fa with Wai Lun Choi, Bagua Zhang with Kang Ge Wu, or Fu style Bagua Zhang & Taiji Quan with Nick Gracenin.
