The Hsing-Yi in Brazil has a very good rep. (as most ppl here know) They train hard, and produce a lot of great fighters. My question is, since Brazil is where BJJ came up, and it's also the place where there is some great Hsing-Yi instruction, have they ran into each other yet somwhere in Brazil? Not trying to start another BJJ/KF debate btw. And I'm aware Brazil is a huge country. Just curious though, if they had some BJJ and Hsing-Yi practioners in the same tournament?

U could ask(pm..) Felipe Bido &/or Tadzio, they're both Brazilian and have a good reputation.:)
They should know.

Heh..I am dominican :). But I keep good contact with the brazilian guys and they're are GOOD and realistic in their training. I have heard a lot of stories of their fights, and they actually keep a good friendship with the JJ guys there.

As Chen Zhen said, you could ask Tadzio. But I know that guys like Bruno Lima, Xebsballand Tadzio himself will chime in soon.

Yeah, I knew Felipe is Dominican.:) But yeah, I guess I would like to know how the Hsing-Yi guys fair there against them. Seems like a lot of BJJ guys have no respect for KF, so I wondered if the Hsing-Yi guys have garnered their respect.

Felipe Bido is not Dominican. He has no sideburns.

No problem. Too bad I couldn't drink one or thirteen myself. It sucks that you had to come down at such a busy time for us.

Did you ever meet up with Kirk?

Yeah, Kirk is amazing. He tossed me around like a rag doll for a few hours. The club is basically a UTSA club which is why it will be going stronger in the fall. Kirk says to come around whenever you can.
