The fact that he knows the mere mention of it is the best publicity he's ever likely to get may be a contributing factor in his decision. And the fact that he's announcing he WON'T sue makes the publicity even better for him.

Still, I like his attitude.

:D I tried that at the show at Greatwoods with Dylan and Petty and I still could'nt make out a word. And I knew most of the lyrics!
